Right guys i need some help...

I'm going to mount my car stereo head unit into my pc fascia and am unsure really what car stereo's need to function, with regards to ignition switches, aerial controls and so on. i'm a stereo noob. I do however have a tad of common sense.
SO...

http://esupport.sony...5DI&region_id=1
thats my stereo and manual with the wiring diagram.

now am i right in thinking that as my car is 12v dc and my pc is 12v dc that they are compatible, and that its just a case of "jiggin'" the connector block so that it'll take a 12v connector from my pc? if that is the case, is Maplin the place to go for the connector, if so which one? the way i seethat diagram i have 3 lots of +12v and 1 -12v 6,7, and 8, and 1 as the 'ground' or Dvc return. is that right? do i need them all, will they all run off one rail?

the stereo itslef has no cabling for speakers so i'll just av it to my cinema amp, that#s no problem.

there's a video here FUBAR found

http://www.youtube.c...feature=related

which ones is he on about?
any help you guys could give wouldbe much appreciated.

Don't listen to Courtney, he is a student so they can afford spending other peoples money to make pc's that seem brilliant, but in practice, are not. (Thermal paste anyone?)
